The WAFIOS Tool Center offers customized solutions for customers by analyzing the machinery and product requirements to find the optimum tool solution. The process starts with a feasibility analysis and a selection of the matching tool. On request, a service technician can provide an on-site introduction to integrate the solution seamlessly into the production process. Depending on the material - such as smooth steel, reinforcing steel or special types of steel - the right tools are offered to increase the efficiency and quality of production. WAFIOS straightening machines are equipped with a special software developed by WAFIOS which optimizes the operating process and the machine's control. This software enables a precise and efficient control of all relevant machine functions which improves the production quality and speed.

Moreover, straightening machines are equipped with a user-friendly touchscreen that enables a simple and intuitive operation. Operator guidance is language-neutral and is facilitated by a graphic display that enables the operator to read off all important machine parameters quickly. This reduces training time and makes day-to-day operation easier, as even complex functions are easily accessible.

In combination with WAFIOS straightening machines there are different extension versions available, like e.g. a discharge slope, a collecting trough, a buffer station, a tilting station and a pusher end alignment. With these options the different requirements during the collection and separation of jobs can be met. These flexible options ensure that the machines can be adapted to specific production requirements.

Depending on the machine type, there are numerous options available. Among others:

• Variants for triggering the cut and monitoring the length of rods (measuring device, release head, fixed stop, length stop with electric contact for production control in combination with measuring assembly)
• Discharge unit for short-length rods for discharging short rods automatically in a defined position
• Looped tie wire device for producing rods with loops and twists on one end of the rod
• End working device (chamfering) for producing defined chamfers, domes, points on one or both rods ends
• End working device (grinding) for deburring rod ends by means of grinding units
• Wire embossing device used for the production of electrodes
• Displaceable stop
• Inlets for optimizing the length tolerance in the lower wire diameter range
• Servomotor-adjustable rotor
• Compact rotors and stop-and-go function for optimizing the performance and avoiding changes of the structure and diameter
• Extraction device (wet separator)
• iQm-straight: Optical camera system for measuring the straightness of straightened rods
• iQstraightcontrol: In-process measurement and readjustment of straightness in case of straightening die wear (only in combination with servomotor-displaceable rotor)
• OPC-UA: Bi-directional information interface for transferring data to an external system
• etc.

WAFIOS straightening machines are available as smooth steel straightening machines and reinforcing steel straightening machines. Both types of machines meet the according requirements of straightened rods. The distinction between these two types of machines enables an optimum processing of the two types of material as they place different demands on the machines and tools.

An outstanding feature of WAFIOS straightening machines is their versatility. Due to the use of special tools and optionally available devices, the machines can also be used for straightening profiled material. With these upgrading possibilities the machines become more flexible and can thus be used for a broader range of applications.
